description | Between 1970 and 1993 The Irish Manuscripts Commission examined the records of 5,000 firms, and stored the collections of 600, which are now held in the National Archives. The collection contains plans and drawings of businesses, friendly societies and local authorities dating from the 18th century. Some are available online, but access to the rest is by finding aid. |

ACCESS CONDITIONS | Freely available to the public from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Some items are stored in the Four Courts and must be ordered a day in advance. There is no ILL or photocopying facility, but photography may be arranged on request. |
