Note(s) | Both the Gresham Hotel and the Savoy Cinema are examples of the rebuilding that followed the Reconstruction Act of 1924 in the newly formed Irish Free State. The retention of the street's grandeur while incorporating new technologies was integral to the reconstruction of Upper O'Connell street and both buildings feature stone-cut facades with continuous roof and cornice lines. |
