| Note(s) | Phase 1 of 14 interlinked projects was undertaken to improve the visitor experience on Spike Island. A sheltered ferry waiting area and a site map, cast in concrete, have been added. Three of the fort's six bastions are now accessible to the visitor, while historic walkways have been uncovered to connect the large viewing areas. |
