Note(s) | The author presents three examples from a number of conservation projects initiated by the grant scheme of the Irish Georgian Society. Conservation work carried out to a classical garden pavilion comprising a much-altered Doric portico attached to a facetted south-facing glasshouse probably added around 1900. The painted enamel window by Thomas Jervais in Agher Church was executed in 1770. The Lion's Gate consists of a Doric triumphal arch constructed of limestone surmounted by a Coade stone lion. |
