| Note(s) | Adaptive reuse - "to re-use a building or structure for the purpose of giving it new life through a new function" - has become increasingly important in terms of sustainability and preservation of architectural heritage. Two recent examples of adaptive reuse of heritage buildings are explored, where the buildings have been transformed to benefit the local social and/or business communities. |
