This article notes that over 50% of Meath residents commute out of the county, mostly to Dublin. These commuters tend to be of a higher skill level than the county population as a whole. The authors propose that the 8 overarching actions of the Meath Economic Development Strategy be incorporated into the County Development Plan. In particular the strategy aims to improve Foreign Direct Investment (FID) performance.
