Note(s)Chapter on the 'Purdysburn Villa Colony', the second public asylum to be built in Belfast. Four villas (to designs by Graeme Watt & Tulloch) were completed between 1902 and 1906. The remaining buildings (a further six villas, a hospital, recreation hall, admin block, laundry, mortuary and churches) were constructed between 1909 and 1913 to designs by G.T. Hine.
