Note(s)Looks at proposals and alternative visions for the large Sirocco brownfield site on the eastern edge of Belfast, and considers how they exemplify the tensions between entrepreneurial privatisation of the urban realm and a more civic and collective approach to planning and environment. The site of the Sirocco Engineering Works has lain in forlorn dilapidation for many years whilst regeneration has taken place around it.
