Note(s)A paper that is concerned with what the rectilinear stone structures known as leachta (singular leacht) may tell us about ritual practice at early ecclesiastical sites. Many examples of leachta from different sites around Ireland are mentioned in passing. Particular emphasis is placed on sites in peninsular Kerry but examples from elsewhere are also discussed, especially Inishmurray, Co. Sligo.
